This course is designed to enable all participants to become Certified Passivhaus Designers/Consultants and is aimed at all built environment professionals, including Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Builders.
Delivered by certified trainers from MosArt, the programme consists of 9 half-day ‘live’ webinar modules and 3 days equivalent of e-learning (completed in your own time and pace). These sessions provide all of the knowledge required to pass the 3-hour Certified Passivhaus Designer ‘open-book’ exam set by the Passive House Institute at the end of the course.
This course is also accredited by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and is worth 45 CPD points.

- 9 August 2023: Module 2 - Highly insulated & thermal-bridge-free envelopes
- 10 August 2023: Module 3 - Superior airtightness & vapour control
- 15 August 2023: Module 4 - Windows for energy balancing & comfort
- 16 August 2023: Module 5 - Delivering indoor air quality through active ventilation
- 17 August 2023: Module 6 - Next-generation heating & hot water systems
- 22 August 2023: Module 7 - Economics, quality assurance & certification
- 23 August 2023: Module 8 - 3D passive house design tool ‘designPH’
- 24 August 2023: Module 9 - Passive house planning package
- September 2023: 3-hour certified Passive House Designer 'open-book' exam
Full training package

- Digital copy of the training manual and hard copy of the PHPP (software) manual.
- Full access to the online self-directed exam preparation course with learning support.
- Fully registered & latest version of Passivhaus energy modelling software (PHPP Version 9).
- A download link to a free demo version of the 3D modelling tool ‘DesignPH’.
- Passive House exam fee (worth €350), including international accreditation and listing on passing the exam.
- Personalised RIAI (or other) CPD certificate covering 45 hours formal education.
Costs
The course is payable in full, or via instalments. The course cost includes your PHI examination fee.
- PHT members: £2200 (This discount is only available when paid in full. Not available via instalments.)
- Non-members: £2400 (VAT exempt)
