What is embodied carbon and why is it important? This seminar provides an overview on the current status of embodied carbon in the built environment.

Ian Pritchett of Lime Technology (www.limetechnology.co.uk) and the Alliance of Sustainable Building Products (www.asbp.org.uk) will present on the application of sustainable low embodied carbon materials and how their embodied carbon is calculated. Fergus Rolfe of the Centre for the Built Environment will present on the embodied study of Trinity Close, a local development of Code for Sustainable Homes Level 6 homes, focusing on the methodology used and how this aligns with current standards and future legislation. Lunch and refreshments are provided
