Soft Landings in Passivhaus and low carbon buildings
Date: 26 June 2013 | Time: 8:30 - 13:30 |
Location: NRP Innovation Centre, Norwich | Cost: FREE to SMEs across the East of England |
With an increasing need for designers and constructors to improve the operational performance of buildings and provide valuable feedback to project teams, the soft landings process is an invaluable way of achieving this aim. From achieving greater clarity at the inception and briefing stages about client needs through to remaining involved after occupation, soft landings provides a robust framework for meeting these requirements.
The Centre for the Built Environment will provide an overview of the soft landings process, looking at the benefits of soft landings; to include a case study of the UEA Exemplar Building. Martin Ingham of the Centre for the Built Environment will provide an overview of Building Use Studies (BUS) surveys, looking at continuing involvement by the client/design and building team and how they can benefit from lessons learned and occupant satisfaction surveys.
