What is a healthy building? What are the technologies and processes involved in the design, delivery and maintenance of healthy and comfortable environments in the built environment?
Using the Enterprise Centre (part of the Norwich Research Park) as a case study, this seminar will explore the development and maintenance of healthy Passivhaus and low carbon buildings. Key topics will include:
• Occupant Satisfaction. How to measure occupant satisfaction and which buildings score highly.
• Ventilation Natural and mechanical designs. How to avoid overheating
• Material selection and design. Natural Building Technologies will present on the use of materials that create a comfortable and healthy environment
• Lighting strategies e.g. natural day lighting that produces health benefits and a more competitive cost option.
