From 3rd - 11th May, Grand Designs Live returns to ExCel in London for its tenth year. Based on the popular home building TV series, and presented by Kevin McCloud, the event will feature over 500 exhibitors, across different sections including interiors, gardens, kitchens and bathrooms, home improvement, self-build and renovations.
Passivhaus highlights include:-
- Sunday 4th, 13:00, Grand Theatre – To coincide with National Custom & Self Build Week, Passivhaus Trust Director and Chief Executive of The Ecology Building Society Paul Ellis will be discussing alternative routes to finance, including the Government’s ‘Custom Build Fund’.
- Wednesday 7th, 14:30, Grand Theatre - Certified Passivhaus designer and architect Jon Broome will be discussing “Self Build or Custom Build” in the Grand Theatre.
- Sunday 11th, 14:30, Grand Theatre – Paul Testa of Paul Testa Architecture and Jon Broome will be speaking about the ‘Self Build on a Shoestring’ competition, run in collaboration with the National Self Build Association.
