What is considered a low carbon building and does Passivhaus provide a clear way forward?
Using The Enterprise Centre as an example of how low carbon thinking has evolved from reducing operational energy towards the Passivhaus standard, this seminar explores the reasoning behind the brief and the design team’s response.
The Enterprise Centre is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and Passivhaus certification using renewable materials. Key topics that will be addressed alongside this case study will include:
- BREEAM standards
- What is Passivhaus
- PHPP basics
- EnerPHit – retrofitting to Passivhaus standards
- Case studies
This event will be CPD accredited. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This seminar is equivalent to 4.5 of the 12 hours of free business support and is valued at approximately £370 of ERDF funded assistance
