Pedalhaus Tour Huddersfield

PedalHaus tours are cycling tours for  cyclists with an interest in eco architecture.

Le Tour de Huddersfield  is planned for Sunday 9th November 2014, to coincide with Passivhaus 2014 Open Days that take place from 7th-9th November.    The tour visits three projects – Denby Dale Passivhaus, Stirley Farm EnerPHit and Golcar Passivhaus. 

 

The route comprises a 15 mile cycle over hilly terrain, starting at Denby Dale and ending in Golcar.

Timetable

Train to DD from Sheffield: leaves 09.39 and arrives 10.29
Train to DD from Huddersfield: leaves 10.11 and arrives 10.39

10.30am Meet at Denby Dale Train Station

11am Denby Dale Passivhaus

12 -1pm cycle to Stirley Farm

1–2pm  Stirley Farm EnerPHit (break for soup)

2-3pm cycle to Golcar Passivhaus

3-4pm Golcar Passivhaus

4pm + Golcar Lily pub!

Train from Slaithwaite to Huddersfield: hourly at 50 mins past hour
Train from Slaithwaite to Manchester Victoria : hourly at 22 mins past hour

Please note:  The rides are on public roads (some busy A roads) and participants must exercise sound, mature judgment, being responsible for their own and others’ safety.  Cyclists are reminded to carry out manoeuvres safely and to adhere to the rules of the road.

You will need to bring:
- a bike, in good working order
- spare inner tube and pump
- suitable clothing including a helmet
- some snacks & water
- money for refreshments
