Applying the Passivhaus Standard to Non – Domestic Buildings
The Passivhaus philosophy is firmly establishing itself in the UK as a new standard for both new build and refurbishment within the Domestic Sector. Its application however is now gaining traction outside of the domestic arena and Jonathan Hines, Architype and Matt Wisdom, Thomas Vale are pioneering Passivhaus in the education sector. At the forefront of Passivhaus design, Architype have a wealth of experience in the application of the Passivhaus standard and have successfully transferred the thinking to non domestic projects. Working closely with Thomas Vale over the last couple of years the development can be seen through the successful buildings they have completed together.
The FORCE Eco House Project – Passivhaus / Code 6
The Force project will explore the relative merits of the Passivhaus standard and Code level six and demonstrate the building technologies involved. John Cave, FORCE Chairman will outline details of the project and explain how you can keep up to date or get involved.
