Gain first hand ecological knowledge and engineering expertise bundled in a three-week program in Vienna. The program takes place from July 25 - August 16, 2015 for the 5th time.
Aimed at architects, engineers and economists as well as marketers and project developers.

The Summer University is co-organized by an Austrian consortium of six universities (TU, BOKU,WU, FH Vienna, Danube University Krems, University Vienna), Austrian Institute of Technology, innovative Gebäude Austria (former IG Passivhaus) and further technical colleges and freelancers. Upon completion, students receive 7 ECTS-credits. In 2013 the GBS Summer University was awarded by the Austrian Commission for UNESCO.
The main topics of the 3-week program are:
o Sustainability in Building and Urban Planning,
o Principles of Passive house planning and
o Renewable Energies and Business Concepts.
The programme includes site visits to:
- Urban Lake Side Vienna, Aspern
- OeAD Passivhaus
- S-House, Böheimkirchen
- District Heating and Cooling Plant
- Lightlab, Danube University Krems
