Green Building Store is running a training day in February 2017 for building professionals, which offers a practical and technical guide to the cavity wall Passivhaus construction techniques used at UK projects. The training day, based at Green Building Store’s offices in Huddersfield, will include presentations by Green Building Store’s technical experts, as well as site visits to two cavity wall Passivhaus projects:
- Green Building Store built the UK’s first cavity wall Passivhaus at Denby Dale and has pioneered the combination of low energy Passivhaus methodology with standard British cavity wall construction and building materials.
- 2016 UK Passivhaus Awards finalist Golcar Passivhaus, builds upon the lessons learned at Denby Dale and highlights how the techniques can be applied to other builds.
Denby Dale Passivhaus, Green Building Store
The day is aimed primarily at architects and building professionals new to Passivhaus and is divided into intensive morning presentations, lunch time informal discussions and afternoon site visit to the Denby Dale Passivhaus. All delegates will be provided with a full technical briefing summary on the Denby Dale build, including detailing and specification.
