MASTERCLASS: Passivhaus Construction Detailing
| Date: 23 October 2017 | Time: 11:30 - 17:00 |
| Location: Business Design Centre, London | Cost: £150 for PHT members, £220 for non-members |
Summary
Passivhaus buildings require greater attention to detail and can have additional construction costs compared to buildings designed and built to meet minimum building regulations requirements. Whilst the cost uplift can be offset against the running costs of the building, improved detailing can help with both cost and performance for Passivhaus buildings.
In this Masterclass, Passivhaus experts Chris Parsons and Janet Cotterell will demonstrate cost-effective construction detailing methods for both timber frame and masonry construction types, referencing their own Passivhaus projects. The event will cover basic theory, practical details and evidence from case studies and personal experience.
