Wednesday 7th March, 13.30-14.45 - Passivhaus: Niche or mainstream?

Chief Executive of the Passivhaus Trust Jon Bootland will chair this session in the Building Performance area. The seminar will look at the performance of Passivhaus projects - and the practicalities of scaling up the approach.

Speakers:

  • Gwyn Jones - City Growth and Development Manager, Norwich City Council

  • Miles Lewis - Sustainability Manager, Lendlease

  • Jonathan Hines - Managing Director, Architype

Passive Pod Exhibition House

The Passive Pod House is a two-storey, demountable Passivhaus home built using just five primary components, which can be fabricated robotically. The project is the result of pan-industry collaboration by the Building Research in Architecture group with the objective of demonstrating that Passivhaus buildings can be delivered at an equivalent cost to a conventional build.

Passivhaus Pavilion

Passivhaus Trust members will showcase their products within a limited number of Passivhaus Trust pavilion pods, situated as one of ecobuild’s eco showcase areas and positioned around the central conference arena.
