CIBSE logoThe CIBSE Young Energy Performance Group invite you to an evening of interactive discussions and presentations on the inaugural night of their 2018 Carbon Bite Nights series.

This event will look at a short introduction to the Passivhaus standard and an overview of all concepts & criteria, followed by a look at two case studies that have been recently completed - both of which won the CIBSE Building Performance Award in 2018.

Speakers

Christian Dimbleby, Architype
Christian has a passion for low carbon design, and is qualified as both an Architect and Chartered Engineer. Christian has worked on number of award-winning schools and university projects.He will be presenting a case-study about the much-celebrated UEA Enterprise Centre.

Will South, Etude
Will is Mechanical Engineer by background, a Passivhaus Designer and one of the only three Passivhaus Certifiers in the UK. He brings technical, practical, and hands on expertise to construction and planning consultancy.

Khasha Mohammadian, Willmott Dixon
Khasha is an internal Consultant and Passivhaus Designer at Willmott Dixon Re-Thinking. His work focuses on monitoring and improving energy performance based on evidence from POEs and Soft Landings. Khasha will present a case-study about the DEC ‘A’ rated George Davis Centre (previously Centre for Medicine) in Leicester the largest non-domestic Passivhaus in the UK.

 

Timing

Doors will open at 6:00 pm for refreshments and registration with presentations kicking off at 6:15 pm followed by a Q&A session. After the session there will be an opportunity for drinks, nibbles and networking and we aim to close things out by 8:00 pm. This session will contribute to 1 hour of CPD time.
