Wereham Village Hall, near Downham Market in Norfolk, achieved practical completion on 22 May 2018 after five years in planning and nine months on site. Replacing a First World War YMCA hut, still standing opposite, the new £851,000 building has a capacity to occupy approximately 200 people and will offer a wide range of activities for the local community, including a youth group, craft group, adult education classes, an upcycling craft group and heritage group.
An airtightness result of 0.33ach means the building should shortly receive its Passivhaus certification and is in the final process of being fitted out by the client.
Architect and PHT member Parsons + Whittley will be hosting a tour on the 22nd June.
