Are regulations stringent enough to provide the next generation of low-energy and healthy homes, fit for the future? This timely Good Homes Alliance (GHA) Policy Workshop focuses on current regulations for housing in the UK, in anticipation of forthcoming government reviews.
Issues around overheating, carbon emissions, flooding, air quality and health are increasingly in the news, backed up by the IPCC report on Global Warming. There is a clear need for current regulations to be reviewed and strengthened. What role can the Passivhaus Standard play?
Several expert speakers will provide an update on the latest regulatory and policy developments for low/zero-carbon homes; comfort, health & well-being and in-use performance of buildings. This will be followed by a number of interactive workshop sessions which will help to inform an industry wide position paper.
Speakers include:
- Lynne Sullivan OBE – Chair of GHA and Green Construction Board Member
- George Martin – Chief Executive, Building Performance Network
- Ian Mawditt – Director, Four Walls Consulting
- Julie Godefroy – Technical Manager, CIBSE
