Peter Ranken, of PHT Patron member Accredited Passivhaus Design, will deliver this CPD looking at Passivhaus theory and practice, and how the Standard fits with the increasing low energy/ low carbon requirements for new buildings. The event is organised by RICS North East London Association.

 

Speaker: Peter Ranken, Accredited Passivhaus Design

Architect Peter Ranken is a certified Passivhaus Designer who has over 25 years’ experience of designing housing and care buildings and also holds an MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering from University College London. 

Peter was the Passivhaus Designer for the Hackney Passivhaus, designed by architects Tectonics, which won the Urban Category at the UK Passivhaus Awards 2016.

 

Peter is currently working on the first NHS Passivhaus GP surgery following the proof of concept work with Community Health Partnerships (the property development part of the NHS). He was also the architect and Passivhaus Designer for several other Passivhaus projects in Crawley, Ilford and Redbridge, and has provided Passivhaus Designer advice for other Passivhaus projects within The Tooley & Foster Partnership including three buildings in Oxfordshire, a community centre in Chigwell and a 60 bed care home in Kent.
