PHT member Tate Harmer, in association with Hertfordshire Association of Architects, are hosting a tour around 2019 RIBA East and sustainability award wnner, Kintyre Passivhaus.
The clients brief asked for an incredibly low-energy family home on the site of their existing bungalow, which they had outgrown and was coming to the end of its useful life. Working in close collaboration with PHT member Etude, the result is a contemporary version of a rural country home that would have the smallest possible impact on its environment, whilst developing a carefully crafted, modern rural vernacular.
