This part complete refurbishment and extension of an end of terrace, 1968 townhouse is aiming for EnerPHit standard. The project was started with a builder (Lex Projects) but the majority of the build has been carried out by the architect owner.
The architect-owner will give a short talk introducing the house at 11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm. He will principally show ground floor spaces and first floor of the extension. Other works to the house are not yet complete.
The event is organised by Winchester Action on Climate Change. WinACC is dedicated to combating climate change and inspiring sustainable living. They work collaboratively with residents, businesses and policymakers to cut the carbon footprint of the Winchester District.
Access information
This is a building site that is being lived in so people need to take care. Handrails are missing, unmade ground outside. Please wear appropriate footwear. Although it is designed to lifetime-home standards so there is space for a lift, the lift is not yet installed and the house is currently not accessible.
Please allow up to 30 minutes for talk and visit. Not many people will fit into the house at a time, so people may have to wait. This event is suitable for older, interested children.
