Two half-day webinars will cover the essential principles of Passivhaus standards and the implications for delivering quality on site. Ideal as stand-alone training for site managers, contractors, clients and others.The course centres on core Passivhaus (fabric-first) building techniques that are suitable for every level of new build and renovation project. The course has been adapted to an online format during Covid-19. Online webinars will be hosted via zoom.
The course is managed on behalf of CarbonLite trainers by WARM Low Energy Building Practice.
Passivhaus Contractor Training
Centred around the core building techniques you need to achieve the pioneering Passivhaus standards, the course covers all the essential aspects of low-energy construction, including what it means practically when implemented on site.
The course covers the following areas:
- Energy standards and Passivhaus principles
- Fundamental aspects for achieving Passivhaus, including insulation, high-performance glazing, airtightness, thermal bridging and ventilation
- How to ensure quality is delivered on site
Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson Exam
Due to Covid-19, the exam and revision sessions are not currently available. For those wishing to go on to gain accreditation through the Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson qualification, further dates, including an examination session, will be added later in the year. Those who qualify can use the Passivhaus Tradesperson logo and will be registered on the global database for the next 5 years.
NB: completing this course does not qualify participants for Certified European Passivhaus (CEPH) Designer status. If you wish to become a CEPH Designer, please view the Passivhaus Designer Course.
