Passivhaus Woodland Community. Image InsideOut
Over the last few years InsideOut have been working on an innovative development of 14 homes in Kent designed to the Passivhaus standard. The project quietly challenges convention resulting in the provision of green roads, a new community woodland, off grid sustainable drainage, as well as achieving Passivhaus using traditional construction methods.
Architecture has the power to promote change and within the context of a ‘Climate Emergency’ this could not be more important. It takes the dedication and hard work of an entire team of clients, consultants and contractors to deliver a project, especially one that seeks to move away from the conventional in pursuit of a more sustainable future.
Join the team as they celebrate collaboration and hear insights from the key project members about the success and challenges that arose, ask questions and join the debate on the future of sustainable homes and development.
