How to cut costs, energy demand & carbon emissions using passivhaus principles
Date: 18 November 2020 | Time: 16:30 - 17:30 |
Location: Online | Cost: Free, booking essential |
PHT member Greenlite Building Physics are starting a free webinar series discussing the delivery of zero-carbon and zero-energy buildings.
Richard Tibenham of Greenlite Building Physics will illustrate the high returns and financial cost savings that 'passive' architectural features can yield by comparison to approaches more reliant on renewable energy generation.
In particular, Richard will focus on how this approach relates to the ‘RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge’. As RIBA note, ‘Exchanging knowledge and information, especially at the early stages of a project, ultimately leads to better buildings. The technical input that an engineer can provide is all the more useful when the scale of the challenge to improving building energy efficiency is considered’. Through this webinar, it is hoped that the relationship between architects and energy consultants can be further developed as we collectively work towards truly zero-carbon designs.
This initial webinar will last approximately 45mins + Q&A. Further events will be approximately 30mins in length.
