Plastics in Construction: Issues, Impacts and Alternatives

A Passivhaus can be built out of anything, but as we awaken to the perils of plastic, is that still acceptable? The Trust have partnered with the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) to deliver an event that will take a holistic view, exploring the impacts of plastic products on the health of both people and the planet.

Certified Passive House Designer and NZEB Specialist (PHA)

This course is aimed at all building design and consulting professionals, including architects and engineers, contractors and builders. It will consist of a combination of lectures by leading Passive House experts, group design and calculation exercises and workshops. Participants on the optional exam, set by Passive House Institute, will receive the internationally recognised accreditation of Certified Passive House Designer/Consultant. This course is also accredited by the RIAI and is worth 45 CPD points.

Certified Passivhaus Designer Training (AECB CarbonLite)

The course is aimed principally at building professionals in the UK and prepares delegates for taking the Certified European Passivhaus Designer qualification. It introduces the principles behind the Passivhaus standard and methodologies and the use of the Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) for achieving low energy performance, with teaching firmly based on UK building examples. The AECB CarbonLite Programme is designed to prepare delegates not only for the exam but for future involvement in very low energy building projects.
