PHT welcomes a NEW Education Associate

We are excited to welcome Tabitha as the newest member of the Passivhaus Trust team! As part of our continued growth, we’ve created this new role of Education Associate to help meet the increasing demand for Passivhaus expertise and training in the UK.

 

Tabitha’s passion for buildings began in childhood, growing up in a damp, energy-inefficient cottage in mid-Wales. With hands-on experience in forestry, timber, manufacturing, and construction, she delivered a 70m² show home from Welsh timber in just 12 weeks. After completing her Passivhaus Designer course in 2015, she applied her deep knowledge of building physics to a  deep retrofit of her own home.

In 2018, Tabitha transitioned into education, sharing her hard-earned insights with students and lecturers. She ran several  interdisciplinary student challenges to reduce embodied carbon and foster collaboration, backed by webinars featuring sustainable construction experts. Her ongoing learning includes completing the AECB Carbonlite Retrofit Foundation course, becoming a Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson, and gaining expertise in energy assessments.

Now part-time at the Passivhaus Trust and Passivhaus training partner Coaction, Tabitha will help us expand our educational offerings. We’re thrilled to have her on board - Watch this space!
