The Passivhaus Trust is growing rapidly and needs to scale-up in order to help transform the built environment sector in the UK.  We’re hiring a Marketing Manager to take ownership of campaigns, events and communications at a pivotal moment for the Passivhaus Trust. Who we're looking for

As the UK construction sector accelerates towards low-carbon, high-performance buildings, Passivhaus is rapidly moving into the mainstream. Demand for our work is growing, and we are expanding our events, campaigns and communications to support this shift.  This role is ideal for a proactive marketer who enjoys turning ideas into action. You will take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, working across campaigns, events and publications.

We offer an opportunity to work in a mission-driven sector & contribute towards shaping the future of sustainable construction. You will be supported closely by the Head of Campaigns & Comms in your first 6 - 9 months, with the expectation of growing into a highly autonomous role with significant ownership.

  • Role Title: Marketing Manager

  • Reports to: Head of Campaigns & Comms

  • Based at: Remote (UK-based, with occasional in-person events)

You will join a small, collaborative team and play a key role in strengthening delivery capacity and ensuring projects are proactively managed and executed effectively.  The role is flexible full or part time for the right candidate.

 

About the role

As the Trust’s programme grows, you will lead the delivery of marketing and communications activity across campaigns, events and content.You will be responsible for independently managing multiple projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all outputs.

 

Key responsibilities

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Proactively manage marketing and communications projects from concept through to delivery.

  • Liaise confidently with internal teams and external stakeholders including partners, speakers, suppliers and industry professionals via multiple channels including website articles, newsletters, and social media.

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Event Marketing & Delivery

  • Organise and promote national & regional events across a range of scales and formats, including conferences, webinars, site visits, and industry events.

  • Translate concepts into well-planned, high-impact events.

  • Deliver marketing activity to maximise attendance, reach and engagement.

  • Support maintaining several databases including case studies & contacts database.

Marketing Campaigns & Communications

  • Plan and deliver marketing campaigns that support the Trust’s objectives.

  • Create clear, engaging content across digital platforms, publications and event communications.

  • Manage the production of marketing materials including reports, guides, social media and promotional assets.

  • Contribute towards website content updates and ongoing digital upgrades and activities across platforms.

 

About you

You are an experienced proactive and organised marketer who takes ownership of delivery and follows work through to completion.  You have proven to independently prioritise, manage and deliver work without close supervision, while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external partners

Essential skills + experience

Desirable

  • Proven experience delivering simultaneous marketing campaigns and events.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills.

  • Experience managing external suppliers or contractors.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content.

  • Able to work independently and take responsibility for delivery.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including working with freelance or external contractors from time to time.

  • Experience turning ideas into well-executed campaigns or events.

  • Confident using common marketing, digital and collaboration tools.

  • Experience updating and maintaining website content.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of sustainable buildings or the built environment sector.

  • Familiarity with Passivhaus principles.

  • Experience working remotely in a small team environment.

  • Experience managing remote teams.

  • Experience with CRM, email marketing or event platforms (e.g. ActiveCampaign, Eventbrite or similar).

  • Basic design or content creation skills (e.g. Canva or Adobe tools)

 

Contract Details

  • Full-time or part-time (flexible for the right candidate.)

  • Remote, with weekly online team meetings & regular one-to-one's, online project meetings as and when needed, and occasional UK travel for events.

  • Start date: as soon as possible from April 2026.

  • Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 FTE depending on experience.
