Den House in Dorset receives Certification.
A detached new build rural house built on a tight budget, designed by PHT member Conker Conservation to be as simple and economical as possible, has recently received certification. The 161.4m2 home is constructed from a timber frame with cellulose and wood fibre insulation, and a solid concrete floor. The project located in Ansty, Dorset is designed with repeatability and efficiency in mind.

The site is partly shaded to the south, but has good views to the west, requiring careful shading.
The scheme also takes advantage of solar thermal to provide hot water & photovoltaic panels to generate electricity.
