Passivhaus Trust seek lead author for costs & benefits guide
How much does a Passivhaus Cost?
With Passivhaus now being adopted at a greater scale, it’s time to look again at the costs and value benefits of delivering a Passivhaus project compared to a Building Regulations compliant equivalent. Experience in other countries has shown that extra-over costs drop significantly as uptake increases. Demonstrating that this is now happening in the UK would be extremely valuable in helping convince more people to build to the Passivhaus standard.
The Passivhaus Trust is therefore seeking to engage a lead author to examine the latest data and produce a ‘costs and benefits’ guide. The Trust will support the author with administrative and research assistance as well as access to Trust members who are prepared to provide appropriate data. The detailed scope for this project can be viewed here. It is estimated that the lead author will need to provide around 15 days of effort to produce the content for the guide.
