Wales: Part L and Part F consultation response
In parallel with the recent consultation on proposed changes to the Building Regulations in England, the Welsh Government is also running a consultation on changes to Part L (Conservation of fuel and power) and Part F (Ventilation).
The Welsh consultation is important in setting energy efficiency standards for 2020 to 2025 and also giving an indication of standards beyond 2025. It is more ambitious than the English consultation, but could still go further in some areas, notably the adoption of MVHR.
The Passivhaus Trust has prepared a draft response to the consultation, which can be download below to be used as a template or to inform individual responses. We encourage everyone to respond as individuals to have the greatest impact. Getting a large response to the consultation is critical to amplifying the chance we have of changing things.
The consultation closes on Thursday 12 March. Responses can be made online, by email or by post.
