Passivhaus projects up for RIBA Regional Awards

This year's RIBA Awards are back on, after being temporarily put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the full regional shortlists have now been revealed. Judges will soon be visiting shortlisted projects, with careful social distancing - and among them are four Passivhaus buildings in regions across the UK.

In the wake of last year's Stirling Prize win for Goldsmith Street in Norwich, and in acknowledgement of the reality of the climate emergency we're facing, sustainability is high on the judge’s agenda. New for this year, all submissions must include a detailed breakdown of energy performance, information that any Passivhaus project will have ready to hand. Good luck to all the finalists!
