Please note: this is an ONLINE course. It will not cover any practical exercises. Further details on dates and costs for a classroom practical session and tradesperson examination will follow.
The course is tailored to all contractors and builders who are involved in any level of low-energy building construction. It centres on fabric-first building techniques that are suitable for every level of new build and renovation project.
Passivhaus Contractor Training
Centred around the core building techniques required to achieve the Passivhaus standard, the course covers all the essential aspects of low-energy construction, including what it means practically when implemented on site.
The course covers the following areas:

Energy standards and Passivhaus fundamentals

Key aspects for achieving Passivhaus, including insulation, high-performance glazing, airtightness, thermal bridging and ventilation

How to ensure quality is delivered on site
Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson qualification
This online course is a step towards qualification as a Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson, which is one of the highest international quality marks available to demonstrate competence in the field of low-energy construction.
Dates for an additional classroom practical session, revision session and exam will be set when it is practicable to do so.
Please note: completing this course does not qualify participants for Certified European Passivhaus (CEPH) Designer status. If you wish to become a CEPH Designer, please take the Passivhaus Designer Course.
