Site visit of a domestic Passivhaus in Cambridge

Date: 22 January 2014 Time: 9.30 - 12.00
Location: Homerton Conference Centre, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 8PH Cost: Free to eligible SME's

This half day morning event is a unique opportunity to visit the first Passivhaus building in Cambridge during the latter stages of its construction. The property is a domestic dwelling using off-site construction methods.

Passivhaus buildings use very little energy for heating and cooling - with energy bills as low as £100-£200 per annum - whilst providing a high level of occupant comfort.  This site visit will allow you to see first-hand the challenges of meeting the Passivhaus standard and to discuss with the lead developer how these challenges are being met.

The site visit will take place on Wednesday 22nd January, starting at 9:30am and ending at 12:00am

This event will start at Homerton Conference Centre where there will be brief presentations from the Centre for the Built Environment on passivhaus and from Integrity Buildings, Lead Developer, on the design and build of the property.  There will then be a 15 minute walk to the Passivhaus site where the site visit will begin.

Please bring PPE. Refreshments provided. This event is CPD accredited.
