Certified Passivhaus Designer Training (Stroma)

A CEPH Designer or CEPH Consultant qualification demonstrates to your clients that you are able to provide high-quality design or consultancy services on Passive House projects, or any project where the Passive House standard is partially applied.
This course will prepare candidates fully for the examination and how to apply the Passivhaus Standard and principles to a wide range of projects.
Upon successful completion and passing the examination, you will be issued with the certificate and gain registration in the central database as a Certified European Passive House Designer or Consultant. Every three years, your certificate must be renewed by presenting a Quality Approved Passive House construction project
Course Overview:
Stroma Certification’s CEPH Designer/Consultant course is delivered by Stroma partners PassiTherm, a specialist Passive House Consultation and Training company that offers competitive and cutting-edge Passive House services to a range of building experts.
It covers the following topics:
- Passive standard bases
- Building envelope
- Thermal bridges
- Windows and doors
- Airtightness
- Thermography
- Plant engineering
- Ventilation
- Summer overheating
- Heating/cooling/dehumidification/hot water
- PHPP calculation
- Economics
- Practical implementation and supervision
Stroma Certification’s CEPH Designer course is intensive and delivered as two 5-day classroom sessions, with an examination at the end. An optional 1-day refresher can also be attended just before the examination. Upon passing you will gain accreditation through the Passive House Institute in Germany and will become an accredited ‘Certified European Passive House Designer’ or ‘Certified European Passive House Consultant’.
Training will be rolled out at Stroma training centres, or private courses can be arranged for 4 or more candidates.
