OpenHaus - UEA Enterprise Centre

The Enterprise Centre (part of the Norwich Research Park) is a flagship low carbon building which will meet the highest standards for energy use and sustainability.  It will host teaching and learning accommodation – including a 300 seat lecture theatre – as well as providing inspirational and collaborative workspace for green start-ups and small businesses.

As well as targeting BREEAM Outstanding and Passivhaus Certification, The Enterprise Centre will also set new standards in building concept and design through the innovative use of natural materials and bio-based products.

Tours will provide an opportunity to gain an understanding of the latest design and build progress; See first-hand, the innovative timber frame structure and low carbon concrete foundations.  The visit includes a technical session.

Please note:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - boots, jacket and helmet - will be required.
  • The tour is subject to changes in the build programme. 
  • The event will be CPD accredited.  Refreshments will be provided.

This site visit is equivalent to 3 of the 12 hours free business support and is valued at approximately £200 of ERDF funded assistance.

Booking is essential. Priority places will be given to eligible SME's from the East of England (Bedfordshire, Cambridge, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk).

It is anticipated that tours of The Enterprise Centre will be very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.
