Passivhaus for Schools: Exhibition
Date: 10th May to 12th June 2011 | Time: Ongoing exhibition |
Location: Shop Gallery, The Architecture Centre, Bristol | Cost: FREE |
In recent years there has been considerable change in construction industry requirements in order to reduce the energy consumption of buildings. This exhibition looks at one particular approach - the low energy Passivhaus design and construction standard - and how it can be applied to school buildings. Giving an introduction to the origins of the standard, this exhibition looks at the requirements for achieving Passivhaus status, the requirements for adopting it in design, and how it could help a move toward achieving net zero-carbon buildings.
The Architecture Centre is grateful for the support of Ramboll who have collaborated with the Centre to curate, devise and produce three shop gallery exhibitions for Spring Green 2011. Passivhaus for Schools is the final exhibition in this series.
