AECB Carbonlite Passivhaus Designer Training
This course is aimed principally at building professionals in the UK and prepares delegates for taking the Certified European Passivhaus Designer qualification. It introduces the principles behind the Passivhaus standard and methodologies and the use of the Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) for achieving low energy performance, with teaching firmly based on UK building examples.

Week 1:

- 9th - 10th Feb - Science of Passivhaus, Marine Sanchez (2 days) + Passivhaus site visit and optional meal out
- 11th Feb - Construction of Passivhaus, Will South (1 day)
- Additional session, 12th Nov - Morning session - Introduction to Psi values, Marine Sanchez
- Thermal Bridging Introduction to DesignPH, Dave Edwards (Suitable laptop required)
Week 2:
- 22nd - 23rd Feb - Building Services of Passivhaus, Alan Clarke + Mildmay Community Centre visit and optional meal out
- 23rd - 24th Feb - Passivhaus Planning Package, Will South & Nick Grant
- 26th Feb - Revision session, Peter Warm
Audience
This course is aimed principally at building professionals in the UK -architects, builders, building engineers and others who want to learn how to deliver real low-energy buildings. To get the most out of taking the full course we recommend that you need to have knowledge of UK construction systems, an ability to read building plans and an understanding of basic algebra.
Delegates who do not wish to take the exam can opt to take specific modules only to enhance their learning in particular areas.

- The full course costs £2400 +VAT for PHT/AECB members (£2800 +VAT for non-members). There is a £400 Early Bird Discount for AECB/ PHT members booking at least 6 weeks in advance.
- One day module cost £300 +VAT for PHT/AECB members (£350 for non-members)
- Two day modules cost £600 +VAT for PHT/AECB members (£700 +VAT for non-members)
- PHPP software costs £125 +VAT, DesignPH costs £170 +VAT. We can add PHPP and DesignPH to your invoice at the time of booking.
