Masterclass: Step-by-Step Retrofit
Date: 24 October 2016 | Time: 11.30 - 17.00 |
Location: Business Design Centre, 52 Upper St, London N1 0QH | Cost: PHT members: £150 + VAT; Non-members: £200 + VAT. |
Summary:
Whilst a comprehensive retrofit is considered the best way to increase energy efficiency in existing buildings, for financial or contractual reasons it is not always possible. For these reasons the Passivhaus Institute has recently released a Step-by-Step approach towards achieving a certified Passivhaus/EnerPHit building.
As each part of the building has a life span it isn’t always necessary or affordable to replace certain elements of a building under one contract. Jessica Grove-Smith from the Passivhaus Institute will be introducing the new step-by-step approach to retrofit with a review of the tools and guidance within PHPP to help deliver energy efficient buildings over a longer period.
Key topics:
-
Retrofit with certified components
-
Planning Retrofit in PHPP v9
-
Retrofit solutions, economic assessment and more
-
Pre-certification of step-by-step retrofit projects
