Zero Carbon Homes: Designing to meet current and proposed energy standards

This part day course provides guidance on how to design zero carbon homes in concrete and masonry. It will provide the latest information on building regulations and performance assessment standards, including Zero Carbon Hub: Fabric Energy Efficiency Standard, Building Regulations Part L1A and Passivhaus and consider anticipated future performance requirements.

 

The course content is structured to provide practical design guidance for achieving performance standards for housing and refers to design, detailing, specification and buildability. The principles of using concrete and masonry for low-energy, low carbon homes are also presented.
