What is the Passivhaus standard and how can it be achieved? This half day seminar will look at the principles and performance standards of Passivhaus and give practical guidance on the requirements for certification.

Craig White, (Chair) Director, White Design and ModCell.
Craig White founded White Design, an award-winning architectural practice and sustainable consultancy in 1998. He is also a director of ModCell, an innovative cladding system using straw bale and hemp. Having taught, written and lectured widely on environmental design and construction, Craig is an advisor on several government initiatives.
Justin Bere, Principal, Bere Architects.
One of the UK’s foremost Passivhaus practitioners, Founder Member of the Passivhaus Trust and winner of numerous design awards. Bere Architects have current projects in social housing, new build and retrofit.
Adam Graveley, Senior Consultant, BRE.
The BRE were the first organisation to offer Passivhaus certification and consultancy in the UK. Through the Certified European Passivhaus Designer course they continue to expand the skills base in the UK required to design and certify buildings to the Passivhaus standard.
Paul Jennings, Air Leakage Detailing & Awareness Services (ALDAS) One of the UK’s most respected air tightness testing specialists with 25 years of experience of advising on good design and how to avoid failures.
Rod Pope, Freelance Protect Manager/Cost Consultant Currently providing PM and Cost Consultancy to the largest Passivhaus development in the UK for developer Lomand Homes Ltd.
Peter Warm,
Peter has been working in the low energy building sector all his life, in both commercial and domestic roles. He is a Passivhaus Trust member, Passivhaus building Certifier and runs courses in Passivhaus design.
Sofie Pelsmaker, Programme Leader MA Architecture, University of East London Software is the required package for designing a Passivhaus project, but on first sight can be intimidating.
