ASBP Healthy Buildings Conference and Expo 2020
Date: 27 February 2020 | Time: 09:00 - 19:00 |
Location: Human Rights Action Centre, London | Cost: £80-£200+VAT |
The ASBP's fourth annual conference addresses the theme of 'Healthy Buildings in a Climate Emergency'. How do we change our behaviour as an industry, and will the climate emergency provide a once-in-a-generation opportunity for architects, designers and product manufacturers to raise their game en masse and change the way we live and work forever?
Keynote speakers Mary Creagh, formerly both Labour MP for Wakefield and Chair of the Environmental Audit Select Committee, and Sam Conniff Allende, social entrepeneur and author, will present on the climate emergency, health and the built environment and on 'Be more Pirate! How to take on the world and win'.
John Palmer, Research and Policy Director at the Passivhaus Trust, will address new build and how to advance the net zero agenda with Passivhaus. PHT member Harry Paticas of Arboreal Architecture will talk about low carbon materials.
Other speakers include representatives from the World Green Building Council, Public Health England, CBRE, as well as the ASBP.
The day will also include the presentation of the ASBP Awards 2020. Three Passivhaus projects are among the six shortlisted buildings - good luck to all.
