Green Building Store & Green Building Company are offering a FREE workshop on Passivhaus & low energy retrofits on Wednesday 8th February 2012 at Slaithwaite Civic Hall in Slaithwaite near Huddersfield. The evening workshop is intended for people wanting to improve the comfort, warmth and environmental performance of their homes and will be presented by Green Building Store Directors Chris Herring & Bill Butcher, who will be applying their Passivhaus expertise to renovations of existing homes.
The workshop will cover:
- Passivhaus low energy building & refurbishments
- Local eco-refurbishment case studies
- Insulating hard-to-treat properties
- Avoiding moisture & condensation
- The Government's forthcoming 'Green Deal' policy
The event will also include:
- 10 minute film 'Future Passiv' - an introduction to Passivhaus
- Eco refurbishment question & answer session
- Tea, coffee & refreshments
