PHT welcomes a new team member
Please welcome our newest team member Lynn Urbanik who joins the Passivhaus Trust as our new Events and Marketing Coordinator.
Lynn is a qualified architect who has worked in the industry for over 15 years. She has a passion for Passivhaus design and has worked with various practices and local Councils to promote its adoption in a variety of projects types from housing to community buildings. In addition to Passivhaus, Lynn has an avid interest in the subject of Biomimetics, the study of the structure and function of biological systems as models for the design and engineering of materials, machines and processes and has been lucky enough to have worked with many of the leading professionals in the field.
Lynn has always had a particular interest in the subject of sustainability, working to promote behavioural change and integrate sustainable processes into how we work and design. Her design ethos focuses on the application of improving form and function and utilising environmental techniques to improve the use of materials, construction, buildability, recycling and communication of the implications for the environment. She continually strives to find new ways of integrating design, sustainability and innovation to make these features an inherent part of project strategies and delivery.
The Trust is delighted that Lynn has joined the growing marketing team to assist in the crucial role of supporting the Trust’s ambitious goal to accelerate the adoption of Passivhaus standard in the UK.
