Passivhaus Trust welcomes a new team member

The Passivhaus Trust is pleased to welcome Liz Jackson as Marketing Manager. Joining from Buttress Architects, Liz brings more than twenty years' experience in built environment marketing, communications and brand development.

Liz joins the Trust at a pivotal moment for Passivhaus in the UK. As more local authorities, housing providers, developers and institutions adopt the standard, awareness is growing beyond the established Passivhaus community. Alongside this, increasing numbers of people are experiencing first-hand the comfort, health and performance benefits that Passivhaus buildings can deliver.

Drawing on her experience within architectural practice, Liz brings first-hand knowledge of how Passivhaus creates value for clients, investors and building users, as well as a deep understanding of how effective communication can help accelerate adoption across the sector. Her interests extend from new build to retrofit and the adaptation of heritage assets, and she is keen to help broaden understanding of where Passivhaus standards can be applied.

Liz says:

Immediately before my start date, we had a few ‘record breaking’ hot days again in the UK. It brought home the timeliness of my move to the Passivhaus Trust and the opportunity ahead to make positive impact.

I’ve known about Passivhaus through my previous role where the standard was applied at scale to social housing; and I love the fact that there are more and more people living and working in buildings whose internal environment is stable and healthy regardless of what the weather is doing outside.  I’m excited to join a team who have a clear ambition to bring that reality to more people and places across the UK. ”

As the Trust continues to support the growing adoption of Passivhaus across the UK, Liz will play an important role in helping share evidence, amplify best practice and communicate the benefits of high-performance buildings to an ever-wider audience.

We’re glad to have her on board. Welcome to the team.
