Bushbury Hill Primary School wins CIBSE Building Performance Award
Bushbury Hill Primary School by Architype Architects has won the 'New Build Project of the Year (Value up to £5 million)' at the CIBSE Awards this year.
The CIBSE awards focus on actual, measured performance, not design intent or performance specifications. The judges comment was on Bushbury Hill was “The winner demonstrated much lower energy demand for the building meeting challenging design standards and delivering low-metered energy use. Good energy performance without green bling.”
The award ceremony took place on 5th February 2013 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane. Hosted by Gyles Brandreth, the awards recognised building performance excellence in 12 categories plus an overall winner. Winners included British Land, Max Fordham, Atkins Ltd and London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
