Fox Barn House Receives Certification
No strangers to the planning process, Paul and Lisa Jackson decided on a design in the style of a timber clad barn for their plot in the Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Hampshire. The simple plan for their new house was well suited for the passiv approach. The Jacksons appointed Touchwood Homes, an English company, to create the bespoke airtight house using structural timber ‘I’ beams. Other members of the team were architect Peter Smithdale of Constructive Individuals, Energy Consultant Roderick Williams and Penycoed Warmcel. Fox Barn House participated in the UK Passivhaus Open Days 2012.
