Passivhaus Tender for 9 flats in Hemel Hempstead

Proposed Passivhaus development by Chambers Goodwin and Partners

Dacorum Borough Council is accepting submittals on a public tender for principal contractor for the construction of a Passivhaus block of flats designed by Chambers Goodwin and Partners, in Hemel Hempstead.

The proposed tender is for the construction of a three storey block of nine flats for affordable rent to Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) standards, meeting the Housing Quality Indicators (HQI), Secure by Design, a minimum Code 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) and constructed to Passivhaus standard.

The contract value is £1,000,000 - £5,000,000.

Submittals are suitable form small or medium enterprises (SMEs). Proposals from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations will NOT be accepted.

Selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
