DAY 2 Speakers now Confirmed- UK Passivhaus Conference 2011
Speakers for DAY 2 of the UK Passivhaus Conference 2011 have now been confirmed. Day 2 of the conference offers an interesting line-up of a variety of Technical topics around Passivhaus including technical know-how, Cost effective solutions, Performance, monitoring and feedback, Climate and building typography. The talks will be delivered by experts with detailed experience of delivery and research on Passivhaus buildings including Dr Neil Cutland, Alan Clarke, Joseph Little and Andy Simmonds among others.
Day 2 will kick off with a brief review of Passivhaus research and innovations around the world, and what's needed to help increase implementation in the UK.
3 parallel breakout sessions will be taking place throughout the day, covering topics such as:
- Passivhaus & UK Regulations
- Low cost Passivhaus Construction Techniques
- Technical Design Workshop
Each breakout session thereon consists of a number of presentations, often containing exclusive information, including:
- The client of a Medical School explaining why they chose to go down the PH route
- A series of international case studies from Belgium (offices), Slovakia (houses) and Germany (the world's first Passivhaus hospital)
- The afternoon sessions also gives delegates the opportunity to visit completed Passivhaus retrofit projects.
