The Sheds Passivhaus granted planning
Pioneers of the Passivhaus Standard in England with Underhill House and with a number of certified Passivhaus projects already under their belt, Seymour-Smith Architects have been granted planning permission for a rural Passivhaus on greenbelt land.

The Sheds: Seymour-Smith Architects
Paragraph 55 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), will grant permission to new homes to be built in the countryside if they are of exceptional quality or are innovative, which is exactly how ‘The Sheds’, located in the Cotswolds, won planning.
The 600m2 detached private residential home will cut into its sloping site, helping to integrate into its context and minimise its visual impact.
Virtually every aspect of the proposed dwelling has been designed to impact its surroundings and the village as little as possible, including its form, materiality, fenestration, and positioning in the site.
