14 new Passivhaus homes planned in Norwich

PHT Patron members NPS work with Broadland District Council to deliver residential Passivhaus development in Hellesdon, Norwich. The NPS design team ensure the homes sit comfortably within their woodland setting with concientious layout planning.

The development will be on land owned by Broadland District Council and consist of:  

  • 2 x three bedroom for open market sale
  • 6 x four bedroom detached houses for open market sale
  • 4 x two bedroom semi-detached houses for shared equity basis 
  • 2 x three bedroom semi-detached houses for shared equity basis 

 

These homes will be at the leading edge of low energy design. Passivhaus buildings provide a high level of occupant comfort while using very little energy for heating and cooling. They are built with meticulous attention to detail and rigorous design and construction according to principles developed by the Passivhaus Institute in Germany. Richard Gawthorpe, Group Director of NPS and Broadland Growth Executive Director.

 

Work is expected to start in early spring 2015.
