Finalist in the Bespoke Project Design category of the UK Passivhaus Awards 2014. River Studio was originally a packing shed for a market garden located in greenbelt outside of Leamington Spa. Sjölander da Cruz Architects were passionate about repurposing old buildings and wanted to experience the hands-on practical requirements of developing their own Passivhaus Enerphit studio from an eyesore asbestos clad shell. |
Patron members Architype have completed the first UK Record and Archive Centre in Hereford aiming for Passivhaus certification. The new £8.1million facility provides a ‘one-stop’ service to the public and professionals alike, for access to 7800 collections of local historic and environmental records dating back to the 12th Century. |
