PassREg: Passivhaus Regions with Renewable Energy

The PassREg project, supported by Intelligent Energy Europeaims to trigger the successful implementation of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEBs) throughout the EU, by adopting the Passivhaus Standard supported by renewable energies.

The pioneering regions in the PassREg project are identifying the stakeholders involved, evaluating the driving factors and collecting appropriate solutions that might be applicable in other urban and economic contexts.

The wealth of knowledge that arises from the regional models as well as through the case studies of particular buildings, known as beacon projects, will help aspiring regions to adopt models of their own and front runners to optimise what they already have. Burry Port Primary School is the only UK beacon project.

14 Partners, 11 Countries, 3 Years, 1 Goal:

Supporting the growth of Passivhaus regions towards an EU energy revolution.

The PassREg project ended in April 2015 and all the deliverables, important best practices and related resources can be found in the final edition of the PassREg Success Guide.
