Passivhaus JOB: WARM seek Design Engineer
PHT Patron member WARM are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join their low energy/Passivhaus building consultancy as a Design Engineer.

Applicant Requirements: Design Engineer
All levels of experience will be considered but ideally, successful applicants should:
-
Have a background in designing buildings, preferably from a services or structural engineering perspective but we will consider architecture.

Are committed to designing truly sustainable buildings, looking beyond the bling!

Have a good understanding of building thermal performance
-
Be comfortable with numerical analysis. Understanding of how to calculate energy use of a building and equipment from first principles
-
Good IT skills, particularly Excel
-
Motivated and self-supporting
-
Willingness to learn and help teach others, both formally and informally
Other qualities that would be advantageous:
-
Passivhaus Designer qualification
-
Experience of using PHPP, THERM and providing design advice based on results
-
Practical experience of building
-
Experience in designing building services such as heating, mechanical ventilation & hot water systems.

Able to commission mechanical services, particularly ventilation
-
Experience of IES/TAS/CAD/Hevacomp/BIM software
-
Experience of post occupancy evaluation, monitoring and evaluation of system performance, fault finding
-
Experience of managing budgets and project timelines
